No. Lens Lizard uses winter-grade washer fluid to prevent freezing — and it can even knock snow or light ice off your camera. The battery chemistry is tuned for extreme cold and still delivers 6+ months of runtime in winter conditions.

No drilling required. Lens Lizard mounts using your existing license plate screw holes. All fluid and power are fully self-contained.

Yes! It has more than enough power to spray upward and reach backup cameras mounted high on tailgates. Some trucks with recessed license plates may need a simple, inexpensive standoff adapter (currently in development).

If your backup camera is located anywhere above your license plate, it will work.
Some vehicles have recessed plates or body lips – those use the same optional standoff adapters. Many popular models (including F-150s and Model Y Juniper) don’t need any accessories. -
Maybe! It depends on your vehicle geometry and the angle from the license plate to the camera. We’ll be testing supported models in the coming months.
